Leaf Footed Plant Bug Information and Control: New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut areas
Appearance ¾" to 1" Brown with a white band around the rear of the body. Their rear legs appear to look like a leaf (hence their name).Habitat You will begin to notice activity in the late summer moths of August and September. They will be found on fruits of trees and nuts. They will prevent new growth of these crops.How do they affect me? Leaf footed plant bugs will feed off fruit trees, almonds and many other nuts. They will most likely attack in multiple numbers.What should I do? You must eliminate all areas where pests can over-winter. This includes wood piles and grass clippings.
